SITUATION The Backcountry Discovery Route Organization continues to develop new adventure motorcycle routes around the country. They needed to add a drone pilot to the film crew for their most recent movie about the new mid-Atlantic backcountry discovery route.
CONTRIBUTION Serving as drone pilot, I joined the 10-day expedition, filming and riding every day.
RESULTS The BDR production company’s stakeholders expressed gratitude that their movies have now taken an upward step with the addition of drone footage.
SITUATION TrueBlue was increasing its emphasis on developing a more robust IT infrastructure. To do so, they needed to attract new in-house talent from Seattle to Tacoma. They needed a recruiting video that highlighted the little know benefits of working and living in Tacoma.
CONTRIBUTION As Creative Director of a department that was new to video, I lead the procurement of sound and video equipment and the build-out of an in-house video studio. Working closely with my team to ensure stakeholder satisfaction, I oversaw the storyboarding, casting and production of this recruiting video.
RESULTS The IT Director and his HR counterpart were very pleased with this outreach tool.
SITUATION The Centerline truck driver division of TrueBlue was hard-pressed to keep up with the demand for qualified truck drivers. They decided an animated online recruiting video would be a good way to quickly tell their benefits message to potential driver employees.
CONTRIBUTION As the Creative Director, I worked closely with the brand manager, script writer and outside vendor Global Vision Studio to conceptualize and draw this storyboard for the video.
RESULTS The video was well-received by internal executives and proved to be an effective story-telling device.
SITUATION LaborReady, the general labor division of TrueBlue, developed a ground-breaking app that gave workers the ability to accept and track jobs, and hiring mangers the ability to search for, rate and select workers, all from the convenience of their smartphones. They needed a promotional video that introduced the functionality of this app.
CONTRIBUTION As the Creative Director, I worked with the TrueBlue brand management team and the outside agency Rusty George Creative to oversee the development and storyboard of this video.
RESULTS This video was well received, but both the app and the video subsequently went through several revisions before being launched.
